Frequently Asked Questions

Simple answers for archers considering private or intensive coaching.

Frequently Ask Questions

Is this coaching only for advanced archers?

No. Sneak-A-Peek Archery Coaching is built for beginners, intermediate shooters, competitive archers, and bowhunters who are serious about shot improvement. The system adapts to where you are and where you want to go.

What if my equipment is part of the problem?

That's exactly why equipment fit and setup are built into the coaching process. Your bow should support your shot—not fight it. We evaluate draw length, peep height, D-loop, anchor, arrow spine, and overall setup as part of every session.

Can I work with Perry if I'm not local?

Yes. Remote coaching is available for video breakdowns, process correction, and structured improvement plans. However, in-person training is always recommended as the most beneficial option—there's simply no substitute for real-time observation and correction.

What makes Sneak-A-Peek different from other coaching?

Most coaches give tips. Perry gives you a system—the Preparation–Action Box Execution System—where we build, measure, and develop your shot. That's the difference between guessing and consistency. Perry also brings 50+ years of competitive experience including multiple State Championships. He's solved the problems that show up when it matters most, because he's lived them.

Do you really use data and analytics in coaching?

Yes—and it's one of the biggest separators. Shot analytics and data monitoring help track execution quality, alignment, and release mechanics over time. Every arrow recorded is a data point that gives insight into performance. When you can measure it, you can fix it—and when you can measure improvement, you know the coaching is working.

Do you teach mental focus and mental management?

Yes—but not in a vague way. The Preparation/Action Box system builds commitment to the shot, trust in your process, and execution under pressure. You'll learn to use the athlete self-talk language system where everything is either execution or breakdown. No emotion—just phases that keep you focused on execution. Perry also provides book recommendations for the mental management aspect of the game.

What if I struggle with target panic or anticipation?

You're not alone—and yes, we address it directly. Through process control, execution drills, release mechanics, and mental structure, you learn to trust the shot again. Target panic and anticipation are process problems. Fix the process, fix the problem.

How long does it take to see improvement?

Most archers feel a difference immediately. Real consistency comes from applying the Sneak-A-Peek Execution System over time—but you will leave your first session knowing what's wrong, how to fix it, and how to repeat it.
